I don’t mean to get all political on that ass, but I heard this clip on the Al Franken Show on Air America Radio. He played the clip about five times and requested that people get this out there so people can hear how big of a liar we have for President. If you have been following this lately you will recall that President Bush has admitted that he has allowed the NSA( National Security Agency) to wiretap American citizens that are receiving calls from “terrorists” overseas. He said they have done this without getting a warrant from the FISA (Foriegn Intelligence Surveillance Act) courts.Bill Clinton can be impeached for lying about a blow job, I don’t think it is too crazy that George Bush be impeached for not only lying, but also for breaking the law. Share this video with others and vote your local Republican Politicians out of office this year. They have really gotten out of hand.
This video is from April 2005 if not mistaken.

American people are rallying behind New Orleans’ poor residents. At least the kind-hearted people are. We’re having a rally here in Hoboken on Saturday, collecting clothes and non-perishables to be sent down to the N.O. folks. Saturday 9am - 6pm at the Hoboken Fire Dept. Museum between 2nd and 3rd on Bloomfield, if anyone reading this is from Hoboken.
A lot of Americans are waking up to the fact that our sitting president is completely incompetent, and all the buddies he appointed in FEMA and other agencies have nothing on their resumes that qualify them other than being Bush campaigners and supporters.
It took having to see dead Americans floating in city streets to wake them up, but at least they are awake. They can’t cover their eyes because these dead citizens are not being flown back from Iraq at night with no media to witness it.
But Bush and Rove are already trying to shirk responsibility. It took several weeks for them to start their “don’t blame us” campaign after no WMD’s were found, and no ties to Al Qaeda were found. But here it is, the disaster is still going on, and they are already diverting their attention to damage control. And they are damn good at it. Look at Iraq. You hardly even hear the word WMD anymore. They’ve managed to make people forget about it.
It is inarguable that the federal government screwed up here. Yet people are trying to argue it. If it was a democratic executive branch, I’d be just as pissed. It’s like when Clinton screwed up and did the Monica thing. We all had to admit that was a mistake. Now Bush has screwed up (for the Nth time) and this time it is painfully obvious to all Americans. Why can’t they just admit it? He shouldn’t be allowed to talk his way out of this! It’s criminal negligence. Thousands of people are dead and they are accountable.
Part of a longer letter to the President of the USA, previously found HERE.
The young officer who wrote this post, is, within 24 hours, facing a court martial for expressing her opinion with her name attached.
Your citizens are dying, and I personally hold you responsible for their lives. As the president, you are a public servant, NOT a king. Your job is to serve the people of the United States of America and to uphold the Constitution, not to preach your Biblical beliefs and to play golf. I’m sorry the hurricane disrupted your vacation. It must be awful for you, but I assure you, it’s far worse for the victims.
Today, you addressed the nation, and admitted that you made some mistakes - that everyone involved in the relief effort made some mistakes. That’s not good enough. Apologies won’t bring back the people who died needlessly. As the highest authority in the land, you can’t afford those sorts of mistakes. “Oops!” is not an answer. You were supposed to do something, but you didn’t until it was too late for many of them, and more are going to die. Their blood is on your hands. There are still people living in filth, sleeping in the streets, crowded into crumbling buildings, stranded on rooftops, dehydrated, sick, dying, and desperate for just a bottle of water and a bit of food. These are American citizens - your highest priority… but you are incapable of understanding their suffering because you’ve been so sheltered all your life, you can’t even comprehend the sensations of true hunger, thirst, or desperation. You’ve never had to worry about your next meal, or of having a roof over your head. And when you left New Orleans, after hugging a few people while surrounded by cameras, and you flew back to Washington, DC in the comfort of your helicopter, WHAT DID YOU HAVE FOR DINNER? I’ll bet it was delicious, wasn’t it?
Oh, and by the way, how much money are you going to donate to the victims of the hurricane, Mr. Bush? How much money is going to come out of your personal bank account? You’re independantly wealthy, and could live comfortably on JUST the pension from your presidency for the rest of your life. Children are giving their lunch money. What are you going to give? How much do you really love America?
The American people don’t want your lies, excuses, and apologies anymore. How many mistakes can you make before you stop making them? How many more people have to die for your stupidity? Should we just wait for the next major disaster to strike, just in case you do better next time? We don’t want a “next time”, Mr. Bush. We don’t want your promises of a better tomorrow. We want your resignation.

(I have no fear of publicly using my name for this. Pass it on. These are my words, and I stand behind them with my name, rank, and convictions. And if it ends up on CNN, with my name, and Bush reads it, even better.)
From the BBC:
“They killed a man here last night,” Steve Banka, 28, told the Reuters news agency before he left on Sunday.
Death was everywhere, both inside and outside the Superdome
“A young lady was being raped and stabbed.
“And the sounds of her screaming got to this man and so he ran out into the street to get help from troops, to try to flag down a passing truck of them.
“He jumped up on the truck’s windscreen and they shot him dead,” Mr Banka said.
In a September 2 article headlined “Government Saw Flood Risk but Not Levee Failure,” The New York Times printed without challenge President Bush’s false claim, originally made on ABC’s Good Morning America, that “I don’t think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees” surrounding New Orleans as a result of Hurricane Katrina. In fact, dozens of news organizations had reported on the possibility of a breach well in advance of the hurricane, and even the Times’ lead editorial in the same day’s newspaper flatly stated that “[d]isaster planners were well aware that New Orleans could be flooded by the combined effects of a hurricane and broken levees.”
So here’s the thing: If he or his administration really didn’t know about the possible breach, we should get rid of them and put people who do know in power. If he did know, then he is lying through his teeth. Either way, he should be removed. Someone call Pat Robertson. Read the rest of this entry »
I’m blown away by the lack of compassion shown by our government. What happened to the “best and brightest”? It’s become obvious over the past few years that we have elected the worst, most uncaring, money-hungry, irresponsible group of leaders this country has ever seen.
Helicopters and vans are being used to transport expensive equipment from the flood zone before evacuating humans.
And one of the stupidest things I see in every time of crisis in the U.S. is airlines offering to re-route frequent flyer miles to victims. Yes, you can donate your frequent flyer miles to the people in need. So, the airlines have seats on flights that would otherwise go empty unless a victim has frequent flyer miles to use? Can’t they just give them the fucking seat?
So what can we do to prevent this sort of thing from happening?
Don’t elect idiots and greedheads to the most powerful authority positions in the country.
Anyone seen any murders lately? I mean, not on TV, but in person?
Any soldiers watching this? Any cops? Any prisoners?
I’ve been thinking about the U.s. citizen’s deep fear of death for the past few days.
It stems from our culture of commodities and consumerism.
We can’t take our iPods with us when we die.
Life is a series of random events, death is the final event.
We are very much alone in the world, no matter how close we may feel to any other human or animal.
And to compound all these depressing facts, we don’t even get to control our lives.
The rich people in our country dictate what the poorer people get to do.
George Bush gets to tell an 18 year old high-school student to go to Iraq and get his leg blown off.
Haliburton gets to tell Iraqis to stay away from an oil field in Iraq, because they’ve been contracted by the U.S. government to protect and distribute that oil.
Click for Novak Video See that thick figure walking off set behind James Carville? It’s none other than Robert “Douchebag” Novak, the assbag that revealed Valerie Plame’s identity in his column thereby ending her career as a WMD expert, all to settle a political score for Bush puppetmaster Karl Rove.
While discussing Rep. Katherine Harris’s (R-FL) plan to run for a Senate seat against Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL), Novak told Carville, “Just let me finish what I’m going to say, James, please. I know you hate to hear me.” Carville said to host Ed Henry, describing Novak: “He’s gotta show these right-wingers that he’s got backbone, you know. The Wall Street Journal editorial page is watching you. Show ‘em you’re tough.”
Novak responded: “Well, I think that’s bullshit, and I hate that.” He then said to Henry, “Just let it go.” As Henry asked Carville a question, Novak walked off the set.
After the segment ended, Henry apologized to viewers for Novak’s leaving the set “a little early,” adding: “I had told him in advance that we were going to ask him about the CIA leak case. He was not here for me to be able to ask him about that. Hopefully, we’ll be able to ask him about that in the future.”
“Bob Novak’s behavior on CNN today was inexcusable and unacceptable,” the network said in a statement. “Mr. Novak has apologized to CNN, and CNN apologizes to its viewers for his language and actions. We’ve asked Mr. Novak to take some time off.”
Plus he has to write a letter to his parents explaining why he’s suspended, wash the blackboards for 2 weeks when he gets back, and apologize over the loudspeaker to the entire company.
