Quicktime Video
Windows Media Video (Lenny, use this)
This video gives a pretty good impression of what it’s like to walk home in Hoboken at night. Random noises and screams, strange signs about “night entrances”, and if you’re lucky, a fellow beerdrinker to shoot shit with.

Go Pupie - Click for Video
Municipal elections were held in Hoboken today. One of my candidates for city council won (Tony Soares), mayoral candidate Pupie evidently did not. As of 1:29am, it looks like the incumbent mayor is staying in office. Oh well. My favorite candidate for city council, Scott Delea has fallen short, but put up a damn good fight considering he just jumped in to the race about 3 months ago.
PS. Is this footage legal? I’m going to have to find out.

Roof Music - Click for Video
Guest guitarist is Lenny. I go up to the roof with 2 beers in my camera bag, my guitar, and a folding chair. I sit down in the sun and play. I completely check out, forget where I am. I had left a note on our door: “On roof, bring beer, guitar.” Lenny and Rick come back from a horse farm where they had been shooting race horses all day (with cameras). Lenny comes up and strums for a while. I love the roof.

Peter Noone - Click for Video
Peter Noone is the lead singer of Herman’s Hermits, a great brit-pop band from the 60’s. They still tour. They came to Hoboken for the bi-annual Arts and Music Festival. They rocked. As Peter put it, “If the Rolling Stones are still touring, I figure I have at least another 20 years ahead of me.”

Preparation - Click to Play
Preparing for the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival. The compression is screwy on this video. Sorry. I’m busy. Working. Trying to get things done so I can get out of office and into street.
I’ve streamlined my videoblog process so I can crank a little video out in no time flat. Once I get the compression thing down I’ll be a happy man.

B-Ballin - Click to Play

My neighbors downstairs had a barbecue on Saturday. It was an excuse to drink cheap beer and play basketball on their indoor court. The rapping guy is Marcos. The church scene is backed up by Elvis (the good one). I’ve never dunked a 10ft goal before. (Felt good - wall plant)

Some things just are what they are. A routine walk in the park, a routine sit on the steps, a great spring day.
