St. Patrick’s Day - Click to Play

I have so much video from the past couple weeks. People up here celebrate St. Patrick’s day almost every day for 3 weeks. Wonderful.

St. Patrick’s day was originally a Catholic holiday. Today, it’s a secular holiday involving heavy drinking and wearing green. Personally I don’t see the point. If you need a reason to wear a certain color, much less a reason to drink, you should go work on an aircraft carrier. They color-code all their units so they don’t confuse each other. It’s a great idea.

Some of the lore surrounding St. Patrick includes the belief that he raised people from the dead. He also is said to have given a sermon from a hilltop that drove all the snakes from Ireland. Biologists say no snakes were ever native to Ireland.

In honor of Verdi’s Vlog Anarchy Week, I give you the longest video blog post ever. Running time 14:28. Over 100 mb. Boring as shit. Except the part where it’s snowing. That’s pretty good. Plus, I promise this video is better than “Hitch”, although I haven’t seen it yet. Romantic comedies are for people with no sense of romance or comedy.

If filmmaking is like cooking, wherein the actual shooting is the ingredients, and editing is the grilling or baking, then this video is a big bowl of raw, chopped beef. Also, since this is basically unedited, you can see how self-centered and narcissistic I am after a few drinks. More shots of myself than anything else. I need to stop that in future shooting.

Danny Aiello - MPG

Danny Aiello is a great man. Some say he’s the best actor ever in the history of the universe. But I just know him as that product of immaculate conception that owns the restaurant next to our office. Honestly, I’ve never eaten there. There are about 2 restaurants per capita in this little city and I don’t really like Italian food that much.
I just know Danny Aiello was a bad-ass in Leon (The Professional) and from what I can tell, he’s a bad-ass in real life too.
