Humanism from Americans

American people are rallying behind New Orleans’ poor residents. At least the kind-hearted people are. We’re having a rally here in Hoboken on Saturday, collecting clothes and non-perishables to be sent down to the N.O. folks. Saturday 9am - 6pm at the Hoboken Fire Dept. Museum between 2nd and 3rd on Bloomfield, if anyone reading this is from Hoboken.

People from around the globe want to help as well. But our government won’t let them.

UPDATE: Look how many people from the Hoboken area have offered housing!

    nice!

i heard on the news tonight that the drop-off at lincoln center was so inundated with donations that they had to ask people to stop bringing stuff.

let me know if you hear of any other drop-off stations around town.

also - not sure if youve heard - but monday is supposed to be a city-wide nola happy hour. lots of bars are participating. all proceeds go to the red cross. restaurants are getting in on it, too. this website is supposed to be up tomorrow:
