Santeria Chickens

This is from a series of headless, fully-feathered chickens I’ve seen in the gutter on Congress Street here in the Jersey City Heights. I told my friend Daniel about it, he lives in Manhattan, and he says he has seen them there as well. The Cuban people practice this form of Catholicism called Santeria, and one of the rituals is to sacrifice live chickens.

   Santeria is most definately not a form of Catholicism. The Roman Catholic Church does not condone such witchcraft. Santeria is a form of Voodoism. Any questions feel free to write me an email! Thanks!

   santeria is not a form of catholicism, it just looks that way because of all the sainta you see in botanicas (such as la milagrosa on bergenline ave in union city. and killing chickens is definately something that they do you are right about that
