Of all the time I’ve spent in the outdoors I’ve encountered wild mammals only a few times (with the exception of deer and ground and tree squirrels). I’ve seen black bear twice, wild boar once… and I’ve never heard of a marmot till this vlog. I had to Google it to see what they are… cool.
I had a serious marmot problem last year in my yard. Man, those bastards destroyed everything I tried to grow. I tried to trap them, but then someone stole my traps. I finally just gave up.

Nice - my wife told me about marmots she saw in Colorado. I’d love to meet some myself but we don’t have many in central MA. What a shame.
